September 8, 2010 - September 12, 2010

You want it you got it hardcore rock / desert racing at its finest. Northern Nevada and hardcore motor sports are now on the map!
Straight from the "Rat Pack"

...."Jeff there are some damn hard rock crawlin trails out there you whipped our asses, but we loved it! I think it might be a little too hard for a race."

Man we worked for this one, without the help of Don Gilman from ORI, Barbara Rainey, Shawn Maher and the GSR Staff, RenoSparks Convention and Visitors Authority, Virginia City and of course our new sales and marketing guy Chris Bolger, We would not have made this happen this year. Dave and I went into double overtime on this one. 2 year deal! 2010 and 2011..........
Sept 8-12th Brand new race course, $10,000 winners purse, 10 spots to advance no mater what to KOH 2011, Pirate 4x4.com Party, and a ton more.

We recieved a special Room rate much cheaper than I expected. Your Room rate code is "ultra4" Book your rooms early! There is also camp sites at the Grand Sierra Resort, you will need to book them early as well we expect them to sell out as this is also Balloon race weekend.

There will be no race course camping at the event. All events are taking place at the Grand Sierra Resort.

Registration for this event will open very soon but will be limited.

Please watch the King of the Hammers news page for additional info. You can scroll down if you need to find it. Down load the PDF.

Yes that is Correct $10,000 Winners Purse! 10 spots into KOH. This event is going to be off the hook! International Airport is about 5-10 minutes from the Casino. Fly in party your ass off, fly home!

Wanna have a corperate party at the event? Ask us about corperate suite discounts!

Ultra4 Stampede brought to you by the Grand Sierra Resort. "A whole new race, far from expected!"

Here is the list of drivers to date. The field for the Stampede is limited to 50 and is already over-full. Check out the talent that's coming to race in our own backyard...

From Jeff Knoll:

"Here is what we have from yesterday.

Jason Scherer.
Jeff Mello

Shannon Campbell
Barry Beadle

Called in last week but still not received. We are holding these spots as they called us and made arrangements.
Ben Napier (Australian We have made arrangements)
JT Taylor (his co-driver helped get the land, I think he gets a pass on getting payment in.LOL)
Gary Farravonti called in last week
Bob Wills ( shortcoming on our side on payment. He is a sponsor)
cotton Rodd called in last week.
Rich Klein (Arrangement made)
Big Country customs dustyn friesen (Canadian Money transfer is slowing down this process)

I have two additional drivers who have made every effort to tell us they are racing and have told me the entry is in the mail, but I am going from memory. Jeff H. from T-Fab, and Harold who has called me a number of times in the last week, but I don't have my notes.

Thats 49 drivers plus these 2 teams. putting us at 51. This thread is the first I have heard from Goodby he is 52.

I am not sure how we are going to handle the overflow until I talk to Dave. "

The official Ultra4 Stampede website should be up in a few days at www.ultra4stampede.com. Both Jeff and Dave are racing class 4 in Vegas to Reno, so don't expect anything until after that.

Jeff would also appreciate it if everyone would do their best to put their rigs on display at GSR on Friday, September 10 from noon to 8 for the 4x4 car show. It's free, and there will be prizes, sponsored by Raceline Wheels. Contact ORI for more details.

Thanks!

Barbara

A few more, and see you Saturday! (Or come out Thursday am for pre-run and Friday am for Qualifying. It's FREE!)

Oh, and check out the survey stakes on the top of the Trent Fab buggy. Derek and Jesse carried our equipment and supplies for us since we had to hike in and out. Thanks guys! Barbara
