Raddonkey 2 seater build

Ok I'm finally getting started on a new build. Its not going to be as fast as some of the other builds I've done. Going to try and build a fun play rig that crawls and can still bomb on the dirt roads between trails. I'm not going for a true ultra four car ( just cant and dont want to spend that much $ ). Just a fun play rig . I dont expect to be done till mid summer so I may have to ride bitch for a couple of months in the spring. I got a really good deal on a top half 100 proof from Derek that is Chromo and tig welded. The door bars are .156 dom. the rockers and subframe are .188 and the rest is going to be .120dom. It should be a stout chassis.

Specs so far

6.0 LQ4 with the Zo6 cam, Kevco pan and accumulator.
T350 Built by Eric with a art carr shifter, MVB reverse pattern
Atlas 3.8
D60 king pin front 5.38s and superior shafts
D60u rear 5.38 spool
16 gal Jazz fuel cell
7/8 Hiems on the uppers
1 1/4 hiems on the lowers
Coilovers and bumps

More to come

Why did you decide on a th350 instead of a 700r4 or a 400?

he can't run 700 cuz his engine is DBW I know. 400? don't know. but honestly hard to beat the reliability, packaging, and cost of a good old TH350 for a less than 100 mph car. Oops, did I speak out of turn!

Ha Ha Yep, Bryan is right !! Small, light, and strong !! I ran stockish TH350s behind 454s in two rigs with zero issues !! One was a CJ7 with tons and 40s and the other was a buggy with rocks and 49s.

Yeah, a little at a time. Still laying out the lower half of the chassis. Shooting for 8"-10" of up travel !!

full bump for some measurements

It will never work, that box under your tire needs more triangulation.

very nice. looks great!!!

what kind of height/clearance are you shooting for with that much up???
try and give yourself some extra space for everything esp. headroom. lots of stuff to fit it that you haven't even thought of yet!!!!

This car doesnt have alot of extra room. Its funny how big it looks (especially compared to the diablo) until you start laying it out and realize you need a limo to fit everything. Shooting for 18" under the subframe and 72" to the top of the cage and 108" wheelbase.

better get that engine, trans, and 4 SPEED ATLAS in there to see how it fits. Advance is still showing 4 speeds on hold, but just had an engine customer say they are back up and running with a 4-5 week lead time.

i started working on a handy-dandy Tcase calculator spreed sheet that quickly gives you all the different ratios between the Atlas 2 & 4 speeds, and the Stak cases with a simple one time entry of your trans first gear & R/P ratio. IMO your best option to keep that motor in the power band and have a good multi-purpose car would be the Atlas 5.44 - 4 speed but would require you switch to 4.56 r/p gears. That would give you a real usable 11.4, 22.8, 31.0, & 62.0 1st gear ratios. Anything beyond that is stupid and those two mid-low ranges of 22.8 & 31.0 are gonna be REALLY fun on the dirt roads, snow, and sand making your car feel like its 500HP!
